Chamber Member Testimonials
|I’ve been in the restaurant industry a long time, ranging from small operating restaurants to large companies and from a server to a GM position and I have been involved with a vast range of Chambers throughout the years (to name a few Long Beach, Sherman Oaks, Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach.)
Now as an owner, when I decided to expand my business to Claremont and had the chance to meet the Chamber, I never hesitated to be part of the ”Family.” I have felt part of the family from day one and that’s because the Claremont Chamber has one thing that others don’t and that’s a personal touch.
I have also had a lot of support from the Chamber and know that they have helped my business flourish in these past 7 years. I look forward to many more years of success hand in hand with the Claremont Chamber. -David Carteni, La Parolaccia Osteria Italiana
|The first major thing I did after taking over my father’s business was join the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. He was always very proud of his membership and this organization. Maureen was extremely encouraging, helping me navigate through my first Networking Breakfast where it seemed like I would never fit in or make friends. But it happened! I met fantastic people and even expanded my client base. I first look to building a relationship with someone and then when that occurs and trust is built, perhaps business opportunities will follow. All those things are mine now, great friends and a thriving business I would not have had if not for my membership and one other vital ingredient: VOLUNTEERING! You have to invest to expect dividends. -Nikki Coulas, J.N Coulas & Associates|
|I’m proud to say, I’m a Claremont Chamber member. As a Registered nurse, I started a small assisted living home, Leisure Living of Claremont, and have now been licensed for three years. One of the first business decisions was to join the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been very beneficial, from the monthly networking breakfasts and ladies luncheons to the educational series offered. The Chamber ladies do a wonderful job keeping members updated with upcoming events. I can count on reading and learning from each monthly issue of the Business News.
I look forward to continuing the relationships I have formed, and the continued growth of my business utilizing the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. -Kathleen Gonzales, RN
|When I first decided to open my VOM FASS business in Claremont, I never questioned whether I should become a chamber member or not. After my first year of being in business and the time came to renew my membership, I took time to evaluate the value of being a member of the Chamber. As I reflected on my time as a Chamber member, I realized that most of the people that are around me (both in and out of my shop) are Chamber members. I have a new plumber, a new car mechanic and many other options if I choose to sell my home or need financial advice. Most importantly the Chamber has given me opportunities to introduce my business to many people that would have never known about us. Village Venture, Beer Walk and Wine Walk have all been a huge success for us. I will sign up again when this year’s renewal comes around and I will continue to support my new community in any way I can. You get what you give, I always say! -Kim Peeples, Owner
|Since 2001, the Assistance League® of Pomona Valley has been an active member of the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Ever since my term as president of ALPV, I have been active by serving on the Membership and Ambassador Committees for over 15 years. As an organization that certainly has the pulse and climate of the business community, the Chamber has been our partner in spreading our mission. In April, we were proud to sponsor the Chamber Networking Breakfast, because of opportunities like this, there are now more individuals and organizations who know and appreciate our organization. Our Chamber relationship has established mutual beneficial connections with people from several other charitable and for-profit organizations. ALPV appreciates the opportunities the Claremont Chamber provides; we give them an A+! -Carol Holmes, Public Relations, Assistance League of Pomona Valley|
|Mijac Alarm has been in business since 1971 and is still family-owned and operated, providing a high standard of customer service to the community that is rare in this day and age. As the business opportunities in the local area have grown over the years, so has Mijac Alarm. To strengthen our already established ties in Claremont, I joined the Chamber in 2014 and the Chamber staff has been extremely supportive to me during this time. It is very valuable to attend events and be a part of such a well-respected group. The Ladies’ Luncheons provide a great opportunity to connect with other female professionals and discuss matters of mutual interest. I look forward to my continued involvement with the Claremont Chamber in the years ahead. -Janice Eckstein, Mijac Alarm|
|We love the Claremont Chamber! We joined for the business support (big thanks to Maureen, Marlene and Veronica), but stayed for the friendships and fun! The monthly breakfasts at the Doubletree are fantastic, as are the mixers, ribbon cuttings and other events throughout the month. Don’t join and just sit out - this is a wonderful organization with numerous opportunities to get involved! It has been a joy to partner with such quality businesses and non-profits in the community. Being a Chamber member has definitely helped our company grow! The Chamber fosters cooperation, trust and serves with integrity. -Lisa and Terry Jeffers, Right At Home In-Home Care|
